Attack on Two Black Men In Pittsburg
A
white man was arrested in Pittsburgh following a racially motivated
stabbing incident late Thursday night that injured two Black men. The
attacker, Chris Boswell, reportedly told the police that he had been
instructed to kill all Black people and that the victims deserved to
die.
Police Indicted
Two Torrance officers have been indicted for the fatal shooting of Christopher DeAndre Mitchell in 2018. The officers, Anthony Chavez and Matthew Concannon had previously been cleared of wrongdoing by the District Attorney's Office, but current DA George Gascon reopened the case. Mitchell was found in a stolen car holding an air rifle, which the officers believed was a firearm.
Black Lives Matter activists protested against the previous DA's decision not to charge the officers, and Gascon campaigned on taking a closer look at law enforcement shootings. The officers have been charged with manslaughter.
Lewiston Maine Officials Receive White Supremacist Letters
Lewiston officials have condemned white supremacist letters sent to them at City Hall from various white nationalist organizations. The one-page mailer mentions white supremacist conspiracy theories such as the "Great Replacement" and "AntiWhite" policies. While it is unclear how many Lewiston elected officials received the letters, Councilors Harriman, McCarthy, and Mayor Sheline rejected the hateful message and affirmed their support for Lewiston's immigrant and refugee community.
Councilor Linda Scott spoke against white nationalist groups and expressed her pride in Lewiston's diverse community. Democratic leaders in the Maine House and Senate issued a statement condemning the letters and reiterating their zero-tolerance policy towards white nationalist groups.

Swastikas In Manistee MI
Swastika graffiti was found for the second time in under three years at the same intersection in Manistee. The most recent incident involved two swastikas found on the morning of April 3, written in chalk. In September 2021, a swastika was discovered at the same intersection in paint, and others were found and removed from other locations in Manistee. The former Manistee educator, Hank Cupp, drew the swastikas himself and reported the incident to the Manistee County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff advised residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. The incidents are believed to be targeted toward specific neighborhood residents.
The city of Manistee, the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce, and several townships within Manistee County have adopted a Racial Justice, Inclusion, and Diversity resolution.
Angela Davis Sells Out Venue With Controversy
Angela
Davis' upcoming speaking appearance at College of the Canyons has
generated strong reactions from both sides of the political spectrum.
The event is sold out, indicating significant interest in her message.
Some have questioned the college's decision to choose Davis over other
progressive left-wing speakers without her controversial background. The $25,000 fee for her appearance reportedly came from a DEI grant for anti-racism discussions. Many have called for a balanced anti-racism speaker program, including suggestions for speakers with differing viewpoints, such as Ben Shapiro and Charlie Kirk.
The editorial calls for various perspectives to be presented to students and expresses concern that the college needs to be more responsive to community concerns.

The Reparation March Moves To Palm Springs California
Reparations supporters for Black and Mexican families evicted from Palm Springs' Section 14 in the 1950s and 1960s will hold a community meeting Sunday. The conference aims to discuss the case for reparations and will feature guest speakers, including an attorney for Section 14 survivors and descendants.
The evictions began in 1954 and continued until 1966, with an estimated 200 homes destroyed. The city formally apologized for the removals in 2021 and has asked staff to develop proposals for possible economic investments as reparations.
