Modern Forms of Oppression Against Black People - Series 1/10 | Wells Fargo

Image
Senator Sherrod Brown , Chair of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, sent a letter to Wells Fargo CEO Charles Scharf, calling out the megabank for its history of consumer abuse and mismanagement. The letter highlights Wells Fargo's inability to address its longstanding risk management failures, including racial disparities in mortgage lending, fake job interviews for minority and female candidates, and anti-money laundering violations. These issues add to the list of consumer abuses and compliance breakdowns that led to a growth restriction imposed on Wells Fargo in 2018. Despite promises made to the American people following the fake accounts scandal, Wells Fargo has failed to live up to its obligations. For Black people, in particular, this failure is reflected in reports of racial discrimination in the refinancing process and the opening of millions of fake customer accounts. Wells Fargo must address these issues and improve its governance and risk man...

California Reparations Task Force Recommends Payments for Qualifying Black Residents   The California Reparations Task Force suggested during a public meeting in Oakland, California, that the state should offer payments of up to $1.2 million to qualified Black residents and formally apologize to them. The task force, consisting of nine members, will send this recommendation to the state's legislators.  Representative Barbara Lee, D-Calif., who attended the meeting, emphasized the moral justifiability of reparations and their potential to address long-standing racial disparities and inequalities. Furthermore, the panel's recommendation provides specific payment breakdowns for various types of historical discrimination. For instance, Black residents who experienced redlining by banks would receive $3,366 each year they lived in California between the early 1930s and the late 1970s. The total payment for those living in the state during this period would be up to $148,099. Here a...

Jordan Neely Is Not Isaiah Thompson

Image
During my video, I made a discovery, and a surprise; here is the original tweet: That was not Jordan Neely; it was Isaiah Thompson (“Suspect in Custody After Violent NYC Subway Attack Caught on Camera,” 2019).  Isaiah Thompson was arrested less than a week after he pushed the young woman on the train. Was Daniel Penny arrested shortly after choking someone to death? Nope, just an apology!   References  CBS New York. (2019, October 25). Alleged Subway Menace Arrested, MTA Seeks To Ban Him [Video]. The Jordan Neely Ritual Killing - Connections

Image
The lynching of Jordan Neely speaks volumes about how people experiencing homelessness are viewed and treated in a failing economy in America. When a black man needs help, there is often no one there to back that person up.  As a former ride-share driver, I was harassed , and questioned for resting until the airport runs began at 4:00 am. A flashlight shined on my face while I was not committing any crime in a 24-hour parking lot. I was lying back in my car seat just taking a nap, but I understand some people attempt to rob people, but it is a catch twenty-two.   From a logical, legal perspective, there should be due process:     According to the constitution of the United States (2023),  you should not "be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law ; (para 1).  Nobody can be the executioner, judge, or jury. That is how it should be, but as many black people know, injustice occurs even with the law involved.    Th...

Gold & Silver Forex Outlook For 4/30/2023

Image
4/13/2023  -Gold reaches $2,047.32, Silver reaches $26.08 on  4/14/2023; on   4/13/2023, the economic collapse blog wrote about a new global currency called the "Universal Monetary Unit" or "Unicoin" was launched, but 99 percent of the worldwide population remains unaware of the event.  This " international central bank digital currency " has been created to operate alongside all national currencies. The fact that a new "global currency" has been introduced should concern us, as it represents a significant advancement for the globalist agenda. It is worth noting that while the IMF did not create this currency, it was unveiled during an important IMF gathering.   The two events made the U.S. dollar look less appealing during those dates. Fast forward to today, and now you have a solid opportunity to gain capital on a Forex account or an options account by paying attention to the daily chart.  Silver What I see taking place is a fill of the gap...

U.S. Reparations Task Forces Growing Across the Nation

Image
Reparations have been a topic of discussion since the end of slavery and have recently gained more attention in the political discourse. Several municipalities in the United States are addressing the legacy of slavery with reparations and taking a variety of approaches. Dr. Rashawn Ray, a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, argues that land should be an essential component of reparations paid out to African Americans.  Seven places across the country where the issue of reparations is being taken up by task forces are San Francisco, Evanston, Illinois, Detroit, St. Paul, Minn., Asheville, North Carolina, Providence, Rhode Island, and Amherst, Massachusetts.  These municipalities are researching the scope of what reparations could look like, considering the economic damage done to Black communities by systemic racism and coming up with a report with recommendations in the near future. Reparations have been a long-standing issue in American political discourse, with propo...
